What's New?

5/14/12 - We're waiting on a new shipment of silicone tubing to arrive later this week. You can still add it to the cart and checkout, but your order will be held up if it has silicone tubing. Coming up for next week: Stainless tubing and plate chillers!

4/23/12 - Shipping is fully back on track. No delays. 3-pc ball valves and hose barbs are back in stock. We started adding some buyer's guide articles to the site as well. We field a lot of questions from folks who are converting kegs for the first time or trying to transition over to a three-vessel system for the first time so it's time to summarize the answers in somewhat of a focused FAQ.

4/14/12 - Orders received by 8pm Eastern tonight 4/14, will ship on Monday 4/16. Any orders received after that deadline will BEGIN shipping on Saturday 4/21. Some orders may ship a bit sooner but don't count on it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

4/11/12 - Everything you see on the site is in stock now. The only thing we're still waiting for is 3-pc ball valves.

3/21/12 - Shipping turnaround is generally back on track and inline with shipping policy. Hose barbs and 3 piece ball valves are still out of stock but we have plenty of 2-piece ball valves and camlocks. Also, we've streamlined production of heat shields by spot welding so stock should be plentiful from now on. We also have a model that fits the sight glass of a specific "high end" kettle. Lastly, we're going to be receiving a VERY limited quantity of CDN digital thermometers late this week, followed by a full stock shipment the first week of April. We know a lot of people have been waiting so it looks like April for most people who aren't owed one.

2/28/12 - Quick note. The cleaning brushes are back in stock and ready to ship. If I owe you one, it's coming.

2/11/12 - Just like everyone else, we've sold out of Camlock Type F's pretty quickly. Should have more next week. Most of the newer items we've added are featured at the bottom of this page. Most notably, we've packed thousands of feet of silicone tubing into our small inventory space. We agreed with our customers that selling camlocks and hose barbs is silly without offering the tubing to go with it.

1/17/12 - We're finally getting closer to normal shipping turnarounds but at the same time got caught with a few items being out of stock. Those affected have been notified and we'll be fully stocked very soon on mostly everything. New stuff? Plenty... because we're crazy like that. Heat shields are available in limited supply. We also have stainless Dip Tubes in a full 5/8" outside diameter for no-restriction flow. Lastly, we've just introduced a new adjustable height mash return tube for recirculating systems and sparging (also available in weldless).

1/6/11 - NOTICE: The shop is going to be closed between 1/7/12 and 1/13/12. Sorry for the inconvenience. You may browse the entire site and the cart will still work, but be aware that orders will not be processed until 1/13 at the earliest. There may be delays due to a shipping backlog.

12/20/11 - As we wind down the last week of the year, we wanted to say thank you to all our customers that helped get the business off the ground in 2011. To say we were unprepared for the holiday order rush would be an understatement but we're proud to say that no orders were neglected for any significant amount of time. We still have a few giveaway calendars as discussed below.

2012homebrewdayz12/16/11 - You are now in the danger zone of potentially not getting items in time for Christmas if you order. Order volume is extremely high (thanks for that) and orders that came in today will probably ship Monday. Locations outside of major USPS hubs will probably have longer than the estimated 2-3 days via Priority. I'll do my best to get the stuff out but I will not guarentee that shipments will arrive by next Friday.

12/9/11 - Ok, let's talk about realistic holiday shipping expectations. USPS has been really bogged down lately now that even grandma is ordering all her gifts from online retail shops. It's extremely difficult to estimate how long Priority Mail is going to take. It's probably best to get your orders in by 12/15 to be sure you get the shipment by 12/23.

tncamlockstnmaletubeIn the meantime, we just got in a case of stainless compression fittings and we're selling them for less than any other shop while supply last. We also just started stocking CAMLOCK quick disconnects. For those looking for Stainless Dip Tubes, they are now options for the Weldless 2 and 3 piece ball valves.

11/24/11 - Hoppy Thanksgiving everyone. I know every other retailer is promoting crazy black Friday deals so we figured it was time to jump on the bandwagon. Beginning at midnight tonight (or Friday morning if you like), any order that contains a sight glass of any variety AND is over $100 (before tax and shipping) will also include a FREE Homebrew Dayz homebrewer's wall calendar. The calendar is being sold at other homebrew retailers for $10 or more so it's like getting a 10% discount on your order. This deal will continue to the end of the year or until I run out of calendars. Each month on the calendar, you'll find hints and tips as well as suggestions on what to brew.

HOLIDAY GIFT IDEAS? "Homebrewer" Tee Shirts can't lose if you don't know anything about homebrewing but your recipient is obsessed. Every brewer can use a digital thermometer, even if they already have one they will appreciate the spare. The Brewer's Precision Toolkit is also great for a brewer who is reaching the intermediate phase of brewing where we'll be buying hops in bulk, making up recipes, or just starting out with all grain brewing. If you need some help figuring it out, use the contact link or you can also buy a gift certificate at the bottom of the page.

6/5/11 - I made a new video about the heat tolerance of the sight tubes, how to be sure you're not damaging your sight glass, and how to protect them for years of carefree service. Here's the template I mention in the video. You can save it and print it but make sure you print it at 100% scale.

I also have a video explaining the types of sight glass kits I have to offer. Hopefully it will answer a lot of the questions I typically get. Check out the brewhardware youtube channel.
