Model: Silicone - $2.39 /ft + Discounts for longer lengths
BrewHardware.com recommends silicone tubing for all your fluid transfer needs. This extremely flexible tubing is FDA rated for food contact up to 400F and doesn't melt until 500F. It The inside diameter is 1/2" and the wall thickness is 1/8" for a total OD of 3/4". When doing price comparisons, be sure to look at 1/8" wall thickness tubing as it is much less prone to kinking when full of liquid. While not 100% clear, you can see liquids and air bubbles to know if your drain operation is done or if your pump is cavitating. Flexible enough to fit over 1/2, 5/8, or even 3/4" hose barbs (or over 1/2" NPT threads).
Why not use the clear reinforced PVC from Lowes? Go ahead and hack off a 2" piece and steep it in some boiling water. Let the water cool and give it a taste.

Model: Shield $various
While not all burner setups absolutely require a heat shield for sight glass kits or ball valves, they certainly can't hurt. If you've noticed the vinyl wraps on your ball valves bubbling or burning off, it's an indication that heat shielding any kettle accessories would be a good idea for their longevity. Testing has shown that this simple snap on shield can reduce the fitting temp by 100F.

They connect/disconnect faster than triclovers too! They come with replacable food grade silicone gaskets. Click more info for product application guidelines and ordering options.

Model: "HBshirt" - $15.99 $12.99
We're excited to announce our new T-shirts based on the "Homebrewer" design we used for the decals in the past. We've had several customers comment that this design should be on a shirt and we took the hint. This tee is a high quality Hanes 4980 featuring 100% ringspun cotton (4.5oz weight) with an athletic fit. It is extremely comfortable and soft with a light enough weight for summers in the brewhouse. The main feature is the white silk screened image on the front with a mash paddle, flaming kettle, and "Homebrewer" text. Keep in mind this is a real silk screened shirt and not a cheap transfer or direct to garment ink jet.

Model: thermo - $17.99 and up
These thermometers are from my newest and ongoing supplier after carefully evaluating several different brands. These are a great value for the features you get. The most important feature is the recalibration screw on the back so you can tailor the thermometer to be most accurate in the temp range you care most about. They are all stainless and have a glass window for heat tolerance. I have both 2" face and 3" face thermometers depending on your application and I can make them weldless also. See details for more information.

Model: 12street - $4.99
304 Stainless Steel Elbow fitting with 1/2" NPT female threads on one end and 1/2" NPT male threads on the other. These have recently become popular as inexpensive 90 degree hose barbs when used with flexible silicone tubing.

Model: 14brush - $3.25 OUT of STOCK until 2/28
I had these 20" long brushes custom manufactured specifically for cleaning the inside of the sight glass kits offered here. The overall length is 20" and has a 1/2" loop on the end to hold onto. The brush part is 1/4" diameter by 1" long and uses a very soft nylon that will not scratch the tubing when used with water or your favorite kettle cleaning solution.

Model: AWS500 - $18.99 $16.99
After realizing how important this scale was to our own brewing, it was obvious that it should be offered to brewhardware customers. The primary purpose of this scale is for accurately weighing out your hop additions but it works great for measuring brewing salts (gypsum for example) and smaller specialty grain additions like black patent and others with high impact. The 500 gram max (just over 16 ounces) has an accuracy of .1 grams, a tare function (zero out your weighing cup/tray), reads in either grams or ounces, and can hold a 16oz Solo cup on the 3" weighing platform. We know you'll like this one. We also have a video highlighting this one.

Model: CDN - OUT OF STOCK (MARCH)
I sell kits with bimetal dial thermometers because people like to install them, but I always recommend to spot check your temps with a more accurate, quick reading digital thermometer like this one prior to walking away from a mash. I've tried half a dozen instant read thermometers and this is by far my favorite. Waterproof, Recalibratable, 5 year warranty, and under 20 bucks!

Model: locknut - $Varies with sizes.
Various Sizes available here. The 1" NPS locknut is often welded or soldered to the side of a vessel to provide a port for a thread-in electrical heating element. It can also be used to create a weldless heating element with the addition of a silicone gasket. Made of 304 stainless. "NPS" is National Straight Thread" which is the same as NPT except it doesn't taper. The 1/2" NPS version is what is used on 1/2" NPT nipples for creating bulkheads. We sell ready made weldless bulkheads but if you have some other DIY project, you can get them here.
Model: barb - $4.69
316 stainless hose barb with an ample barb length and 1/2" male NPT threads on the other end. This is commonly threaded into the output side of a kettle drain valve when all you want to do is put a piece of tubing on. Two different barb sizes are available. The 1/2" barb works for tubing that is 1/2" inside diameter. The ID of the barb itself is about 3/8" and wouldn't normally present a flow issue. If you want maximum flow and are using tubing that can stretch a bit, we also have 5/8" OD barbs with interiors just under 1/2". Just about any 1/2" ID tubing can stretch to 5/8" except maybe the white thermoplastic type.

Model: "BrewDecals" - $3+
Brewhardware is getting just a bit less serious with these fun new cut vinyl decals. The first design offered is this "Home brewer" decal with a mash paddle and fired up boil kettle graphic. There's also one that explains the life of a homebrewer; "Eat. Sleep. Brew". Available in white or black.

Model: WLSL - $26.95
This is the flagship product for Brewhardware.com featuring a design that just hasn't been done before. It's also the first kit that solves the calibration markings challenge after you install it. It is a premium kit with everything you need except the drill bit.

Model: WLLTS240 - $52.99
This kit is based off the popular WLST240 weldless kit but is upsized to a 3" dial thermo with a 6" long probe and 1/2" NPT hardware. The whole kit is more bulky than the WLST240r kit but is the only way to get to a 3" dial face on the thermometer. If you're starting off with a fresh vessel and don't mind a smaller thermometer, we recommend the WLST240 kit over this one.
Model: WL2PBV - $24.99 (varies with options)
You've been asking for weldless valves for a long time to make this more of a one stop shop. Here they are. This kit uses all stainless and silicone parts for long life and heat tolerance. Drill a hole in your pot, install the kit, and stop trying to lift all that weight to pour into the fermenter.
This kit will work in metal vessels as well as cylindrical coolers that have thin walls at the drain location such as the Igloo 10 Gallon beverage dispenser. Maximum wall thickness is 3/16".

Model: 12coup - $3.25
This 1/2" coupling is typically what you'd have welded into your vessel as the bulkhead drain or to add any flexible ports. The full coupling (pictured on right) gives you female threads on both end (bulkheads) and the half coupling (no picture) provides threads on one end which is appropriate for a thermometer port or dedicated weld-in port for the sight glasses that use 1/2" NPT. Cast 304 stainless.

Model: Panel - $8.99 +
If you're building a tricked out brewery control panel for your RIMS/HERMS or Electric brew haus, class it up with precision cut vinyl labels. |
Model: SB - $14.95
This kit is a specialty item that I made up after getting several requests to do so. It is simply a polycarbonate sight tube threaded into a stainless bushing with 1/2" NPT male threads. One use is to make your own thermometer/sight glass setup with your own 1/2" TEE and thermometer.
Model: SL - $17.95 and up
While my weldless kit is the easiest solution for a completely fresh vessel, many brewers have already outfitted their vessels with couplings that have been welded in. The simple solution is a basic street elbow as shown in the picture. This kit has several options depending on what you have on your kettle already.

Model: 12Diptube - $19
This series of diptubes is based on 1/2" OD thickwalled 304 Stainless Steel tubing bent with a mandrel bender and comes with a stainless compression fitting with 1/2" Male OD threads. This is the only option we offer for vessels with 1/2" couplings welded in and is a reasonable option for those not concerned with maximum flow rates that are acheived with the larger 5/8" OD diptubes. The height of these assemblies is approximately 3" from fitting center to bottom of the diptube which is just about right for converted kegs. The depth can be trimmed with a hacksaw if necessary.
Model: Diptube - $9 +
This variety of diptubes offered here will complete the install of any drain bulkead for any vessel. These are most important in converted keg based vessels to remove the last 2 gallons or so that sit below the drain port. In a hot liquor tank, you want to be able to drain it nearly completely. If you use hop socks in your boil kettle, you can also use a diptube all the way to the bottom of the kettle. These come in copper or stainless.
Model: 1/2Tube - $13 or less with quantity discounts
This is one of those fittings that has a lot of different uses in a brewery. Probably the most common use is to convert the interior threads of a welded-in 1/2" NPT coupling to 1/2" OD tubing for a dip tube or to connect a HERMS coil. Basically this is the easiest way to add male 1/2" NPT threads to the end of any 1/2" tubing. Discounts for multiples. If another shop has this cheaper, tell me about it.
Model: 3PBV - $18.99
This is stainless 3-piece body (meaning that it will easily disassemble while still installed for cleaning every few months) with a non-restricing "full port" ball and 1/2" NPT female threads on both ends. Use them on your boil kettle, HLT, mash tun, pumps, etc. As shown in the pic, they have a locking mechanism on the handle. It can be pried off if you don't want the lock.
Model: 12nipple - $1.99 +
This 1/2" nipple is typically what you'd have use to make a weldless bulkhead or connect a coupling to a ball valve. It comes in three lengths, 1-1/8", 1-1/2" or 2" long. 304 stainless.
Model: 12elbow - $3.99

Model: Gaskets - $varies
All of these gaskets are made of High Temp red silicone rubber capable of 400F+ so no worries on any brewing vessel. There are several types available such as replacments for the weldless sight kits, large flat washers for making 1/2" NPT bulkheads, and Orings for sealing your electric heating elements.
Now offering steep discounts for larger lots!

Model: Brix/OG - $37.99
This is a automatic temperature compensating (ATC) model with both a Brix (0-32%) and Specific Gravity (1.000-1.120) scale. It comes with a zippered storage bag, refractometer, 10 sampling pippettes, and recalibration screw driver. Our units have the CORRECT correlation between Brix and SG/OG on the scale. For example, the 20 Brix mark lines up with 1.084 specific gravity. Beware of units that have 20 brix showing under 1.080 as these are not accurate using the SG scale for wort purposes.
Model: MashTube - $18.99 +
We spent way too long trying to come up with a clever name for this thing. Mash Tube, Any Height Recirulation Port, Sparge Height Thingy. A lot of people use a piece of hose or copper tubing on the inside of their mash tun recirculation (or sparge) port but it's not as cool as this. This assembly is made from parts from "Loc-Line". You can adjust the output from the same height as the port all the way down to 12" below the port to adjust for five or ten gallon batches of varying grain bills. It's a exponentially easier to use than laying a hose on top of the grain.

Model: WLST240R - 44.99
This is the popular sight glass and thermometer combination kit that is built on the simplicity of the EZ-sight design. The only real difference is the TEE fitting instead of an elbow and it includes a thermometer. Two functions in one convenient weldless setup. From now on, these will include recalibratable thermometers which accounts for the slight increase in price.
