I've asked you about this. Can you make them weldless? And could you email me when they are ready for sale.
Thanks Glen.

Glen, many many people asked about this and I finally found a thermometer supplier that had decent enough pricing on the larger versions. I can mirror the same weldless design from my other units but as you know everything gets more expensive at 1/2". I think we're talking about $50 each.

Put your email address on the newsletter sign up form at the top of the page and I'll send something out when they are available. I think it's going to be next week.

I'm glad to see you have added this item. Any idea when you may have more than the one in stock? I may need two or three of them and would like to save on shipping cost of ordering separately. I just need to check my kettles to be sure of the number.

Hey Bobby, have you came up with the weldless version yet. The smaller ones are great about not having leaks. So I would prefer that over welding on and 1/2" coupling. The 3" thermometer, and sight glass will be a great addition to my keggles. Please shoot me a line when they are available. I am on your newsletter mailing list. Thanks Glen.

Hi there,
I have a question regarding the weldless version.
Does it also come with a close nipple to go through the kettle or does it come with a bushing? If it comes with a nipple i assume that you also sell 1/2in SS nuts that can go on the inside of the kettle?

Thanks,
Mate

It comes with a bushing so no need for a locknut.

Do you sell these without the thermometer with 1/2" fitting?

Is it possible to combine a sight tube into the output ball valve setup? this would eliminate the need to make two holes?(one for ball valve, one for sight glass)

From a mechanical perspective yes, it's easy enough to insert the TEE and sight tube on top between the valve the vessel but there are two problems. One is that the sight will not read accurately when draining through the valve. The second issue is that if you have a siphon tube inside, you'd have to cap off the top of the sight to maintain the siphon (or hold your finger on it for the last bit of draining. It's best to either combo with a thermometer or simply make another hole for a WLSL standalone sight port.

Thanks Bobby! The SS valves, sight glass w/therm kits, and o ring all arrived in one piece and are installed. I've been following your videos for quite a while and really appreciate all that you have done for the home brewing tribe. Thanks also for putting so much energy into providing us a grass roots alternative to buying the basic hardware we need. -Rusty in Vermont
