Model: Camlocks - ($$ varies)
Camlock style disconnects are absolutely the best compromise cost and function for making and breaking connections between your vessels, chillers, pumps and hose sets. Eventually you get tired of pushing tubing onto hose barbs and adusting worm gear clamps. These are cheaper than triclovers and all other stainless steel quick disconnect designs. They connect/disconnect faster than triclovers too! They come with replacable food grade silicone gaskets. Click more info for product application guidelines and ordering options.

Model: 1/2Tube - $13 or less with quantity discounts
This is one of those fittings that has a lot of different uses in a brewery. Probably the most common use is to convert the interior threads of a welded-in 1/2" NPT coupling to 1/2" OD tubing for a dip tube or to connect a HERMS coil. Basically this is the easiest way to add male 1/2" NPT threads to the end of any 1/2" tubing. Discounts for multiples. If another shop has this cheaper, tell me about it.

Model: barb - $4.69
316 stainless hose barb with an ample barb length and 1/2" male NPT threads on the other end. This is commonly threaded into the output side of a kettle drain valve when all you want to do is put a piece of tubing on. Two different barb sizes are available. The 1/2" barb works for tubing that is 1/2" inside diameter. The ID of the barb itself is about 3/8" and wouldn't normally present a flow issue. If you want maximum flow and are using tubing that can stretch a bit, we also have 5/8" OD barbs with interiors just under 1/2". Just about any 1/2" ID tubing can stretch to 5/8" except maybe the white thermoplastic type.

Model: locknut - $Varies with sizes.
Various Sizes available here. The 1" NPS locknut is often welded or soldered to the side of a vessel to provide a port for a thread-in electrical heating element. It can also be used to create a weldless heating element with the addition of a silicone gasket. Made of 304 stainless. "NPS" is National Straight Thread" which is the same as NPT except it doesn't taper. The 1/2" NPS version is what is used on 1/2" NPT nipples for creating bulkheads. We sell ready made weldless bulkheads but if you have some other DIY project, you can get them here.

Model: 12coup - $3.25
This 1/2" coupling is typically what you'd have welded into your vessel as the bulkhead drain or to add any flexible ports. The full coupling (pictured on right) gives you female threads on both end (bulkheads) and the half coupling (no picture) provides threads on one end which is appropriate for a thermometer port or dedicated weld-in port for the sight glasses that use 1/2" NPT. Cast 304 stainless.
