While 18.5 gallons seems like an odd size, it happens to be the perfect size for up to 10 gallon "Brew in a Bag" BIAB batches with a typical OG max of 1.090 with a whopping 36 pounds of grain. They are not the most perfectly polished specimens you'll find in the industry. When you compare the price, size and features against competitors like Spike and BrewBuilt, you'll understand why this kettle has a couple scratches here, a ding there. Maybe you'll see the weld line up the side because they didn't spend that extra time buffing it out. If you have no leeway with a few imperfections, please move on and get your wallet out for that higher end kettle. We will not replace a Brewmaster Kettle due to cosmetic imperfections.
