Description

We stock this fitting to terminate EVAbarrier tubing to any male beer thread such as on the back of a beer faucet shank or on the top of a Sanke Keg Coupler. Push the tubing all the way to lock it and seal it and that's it. Push on the sleeve to release. The beer thread side does include a rubber washer to seal to your D coupler or the back of a faucet shank. Note that some shanks have a welded hose barb on the back. You can still use these fittings if you cut the barb off the shank with a hack saw or dremel and smooth the end.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that you do not overtighten these fittings onto the male counterpart or they WILL crack at some point. Follow these instructions. Put a small smear of keg lube or Vaseline on the threads and black gasket inside the fitting. Thread the grey fitting on to your shank or keg coupler carefully to avoid cross threading and tighten only hand tight. 99% of these will seal without any additional attention.. Pressurize the system and to check for leaks. Any fitting that leaks should be tighten another 1/8th of a turn to stop the leak.

These fittings accept any rigid or semi-rigid 8mm or 5/16" OD tubing. Bevseal Ultra 235, EVAbarrier 5/16 or any copper, polyethylene. To secure to SS tubing, you will have to put a small embossed ring near the end of the tubing by lightly running a tubing cutter wheel around it. This gives the locking claws something to grab onto.

4 of 5 A design option needed. April 7, 2022

They worked well once they were connected.   However, my taps are plumbed through a refrigerator door, and on the inside they protrude into a narrow space between 2 interior door shelves which makes it difficult to tighten down with a wrench.  IMHO a new wingnut deign that could be hand tightened would be much easier to work with.
