Scorching December 28, 2022 Reviewer: CJ B from Rochester NY   Brewed 3 back to back beers of different styles in one day. Washed my equipment with a hot PBW soak for 30 minutes between each batch. First two went great no issues, on the third I noticed a burnt smell during my 90 minute boil but continued on. After I transferred the beer from my kettle to my fermenter my element was BLACK with a crust on it. Added PBW to my kettle with water and kept at 170 for 2 hours and it did nothing to the element. Had to scrub it by hand for about another hour straight and still haven't gotten all the black crud off the element. Before this I was very pleased with the element but now I'm considering buying a different one. Brewhardware.com response: There is nothing magical about one element vs another at these high wattages. I would need more details about the batch and your process to make some estimates on what happened. We have sold over 10,000 of these elements as they are pretty much the defacto homebrew standard. Works great December 5, 2021 Reviewer: Kevin Fidler from Akron, OH United States   Just did my first brew the other day with the electric heating elements after converting my kettles to electric, heats the water faster then propane ever did. Also Bobby was very helpful, I called a few times with questions and he's the person who answered the phone.
