5 of 5 Great for bottling too January 1, 2022
Reviewer: Daniel Duvall from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
I have been using the Cold Crash Guard for about a year and it is great for cold crashing. I also hook it up to my bottling bucket although there is not quite enough gas for a whole batch. Thinking about getting a second one, filling it and saving it so I could bottle a whole batch with no air entering the bottle bucket. Thanks!!

5 of 5 Awesome! November 17, 2021

Fairly easy to set up. No more oxygen and/or Star San getting sucked into beer when cold crashing!

The product came with everything needed. I put it to work on an Octoberfest I am brewing to drop to lagering  temp.  Since I didn’t have this available during fermenting in primary, I added CO2 to the bladder from my kegerator cylinder. Worked like a charm, no suck back of Sanitizer or air this time!

4 of 5 Good concept May 2, 2021

As far as I can tell, the CCG did what I expected...reduced O2 uptake when cold-crashing.
It arrived after brew day (my fault) and was installed it after fermentation had started, so I used CO2 from a tank to puff up the bladder a bit.  After primary fermentation was complete, I cold-crashed over a couple days from 68°F to about 38°F, and was surprised how little the bladder shrank.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the elbow fitting that goes into the airlock grommet.  The fitting has a single barb on both ends, and the stem, which is straight-walled has a considerably smaller I.D, doesn't fit snugly enough into the grommet to eliminate suspicions of leakage (I have no way to quantify that).  In my opinion it would fit better if the stems of the fitting were tapered, like those on an airlock.
Even with that it's a good value. and Brew Hardware was quick and courteous in response to any questions I had,

5 of 5 Awesome Product April 2, 2021

Works great. Not only great for cold crash but also as a low oxygen transfer to keg! When you siphon from fermenter to keg it pulls the Co2 from the bag instead of oxygen!!

5 of 5 Problem solved March 30, 2021

I have a 14 gal conical....and it loves to pull SanStar from its blowoff reservoir at a cold crash. I typically do 5-gallon batches and not sure if that compounds the negative pressure problem. Regardless... Cold Crash Guardian worked perfectly! It was super easy, and you don't have to babysit it. I was worried it would deplete all its saved co2, but only looked to use 30% or so. Nice work Cold Crash Guardian person!

5 of 5 Does exactly what it claims to do! February 16, 2021

Keeps unwanted Oxygen and sanitizer liquid from being sucked back up your blow-off tube when you cold crash  Check out Bobby’s YouTube video on this Version #3.  Price was right and it’s performance could’ve been used in a sales ad!  Spot on and a great addition (and improvement!) to my brewing process.  It WORKS!

4 of 5 It Works !!! I'm going to buy another !! February 1, 2021
Reviewer: Steve Oatley from Berkley, MI United States
It works just like a Balloon.... filling with CO2 during
Fermentation, and that CO2 moves back into your
Fermentor, when Cold Crash Begins, saving your beer from Oxygen.
It would be PERFECT if it had 1/2 inch connectors, as most
fermentors are using 1/2 inch tubing for blow off currently.
