My first step towards an electric brewery October 6, 2016 Reviewer: Frank Crociata from New Hartford, CT United States   First I can't say enough good things about how the videos posted helped me make my decision about what to do.  Since I have multiple pots and am not ready to automate it made sense to get the hot rod for boiling and getting mash and sparge water to temp.  Everything arrived perfectly packed and w/o a scratch.  Again following posted directions I was able to wire the 5500W element and plug w/o difficulty.  As soon as I get a GFCI breaker for the outlet I'll be in business.  Can't wait! Ordered 4 elements September 19, 2016 Reviewer: David from Missouri   I needed new elements ASAP so I called and they were happy to pack them up and rush ship them same day. Awesome service! However when I filled the BK one of the elements kept tripping my GFI (DON'T USE ELECTRIC ELEMENTS WITHOUT ONE). Luckily the second one worked fine and I was able to complete my brew day, Turns out the element was not threaded all the way back, the rubber washer did not get a good seal and the element housing filled with wort shorting it out, I emailed support and they shipped me a new one right away. But in the future I would make a point to test them before brew day. I plan on using 2 of these at the same time in my BK next brew day, I mildly concerned about scorching but the ripple elements simply will not clear the weldless triclamp bulkheads so I dont really have an option. With just one element on this batch of pilsner there were no scorching issues whatsoever. Was this review helpful to you?
