Description

THIS is a brand new pump offered up by Chugger for larger brewing setups.

This pump is similar to the other "MAX" series Chugger pumps we stock. However, this one features the new Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) motor. The casing of the motor has a built in heat sink that is cooled by an external fan. Therefor the casing does not require vent holes and there is no concern about serious splashing. The motor runs nice and cool and runs quiet also.

This motor can be powered by 120 OR 240 volts, select-able by an external switch. It does NOT include a power cable but there is a cord grip provided on the attached junction box. You can source a 14/3 cable with a molded plug or create one at a home center with SJ cord and a cord plug (note that no vendors include a power cord with these pumps due to the dual voltage support).

This pump is comparable in pumping performance to the March AC-5C-MD but features a TEFC motor for a very nominal price increase. MAXIMUM VALUE!

The Plastic center inlet design features a 1" NPT female thread on the inlet and a 1/2" male NPT on the outlet. We can reduce the inlet down to 3/4" for you, but you'll want to restrict the outlet with a valve as your temps climb towards boiling to reduce cavitation.
