Description

No more rusty element bases after two batches! This element will make 1650 watts on 120 volts. The length of the element from the hex flange to the tip is 8.25 inches. At 40 watts per square inch, it's effectively an ULWD element.

1650 watts on 120 volts will draw a little under 14 amps. For that reason, you can run it on a typical 15 amp circuit. This wattage is just enough to bring 3 gallons to a rolling boil or 4 gallons to a simmer. You will not be happy with this if you plan to boil 6 gallons for a 5 gallon finished batch size.

The base on this unit stainless steel and will not rust. The threads are standard 1" NPSL like 99% of the elements you'll find out there. Weldless installs such as with our EWL enclosure kits will require a 1.25" hole in your vessel.

By default these elements will not fit down inside a 1.5" TC RIMS tube. If that was your planned use, you need to select "offset" in the options drop down and we will put enough bend on the element to get it centered upon the base.

Note: the manufacturing process causes some heat discoloration on the stainless and they are not polished or visually stunning in any way. While we typically like our equipment to look shiny as possible, this item is more about durability and function.

5 of 5 This thing is a beast! November 25, 2022
Reviewer: Jay Hager from Bend, OR United States
I use this to heat my mash water. No propane. No open garage door for ventilation. It's cold where I live and any time I can keep the doors closed it huge. With the Inkbird controller and this element I get a one deg. increase in temp every forty seconds. No more trouble maintaining mash temps.

5 of 5 Great with the brewzilla 35l January 3, 2022
Reviewer: Goldie Bradley from Bucyrus, OH United States
This thing is great I run brewzilla with the 500 watt element and the hotrod heat stick  with 1650 watt elemnt. Cut heat up on half and the boil is great way better then just the 1500 total  from the brewzilla alone. Well made will buy more from bobby at brewhardware.com

5 of 5 Perfect wattage for my kettle March 29, 2021
Reviewer: Martin Landry from Québec, QC Canada
I turned my 8-gallon kettle into an electric kettle. I didn't want to hassle with any 240V electrical needs and instead ordered two 120V 1650W elements, which I plug on outlets from different breakers on my electrical panel. It works great. I use both together to raise my temperature with one plugged to my inkbird on one circuit and the second to a powerbar with an on and off switch on the other circuit. Once I have reached my desired temperature, either for boil, mash temperature or to mash out, I shut off the powerbar and the first one has enough power to maintain any temperature, even the boil. Couldn't be more pleased.

5 of 5 Very nice March 27, 2021
Reviewer: RW from Vancouver, BC
The warnings that these are not finished nicely to save the customer money are at first warranted. But it is very good quality and once I’d hooked it up and brewed it seemed the same as any over priced shiny element. Also if you want to scuff or sand the element there’s pretty stainless steel underneath.

Great product, I’d buy again!
