5 of 5 Works as described Monday, September 28, 2026

Definitely helps solve the problem of oxygen creep during cold crashing.  My first go with it was a Duvel clone and I attached the bag a little bit too early, but the excess CO2 vented into the blow-off jug, so all worked out in the end.  It used about a half to 3/4 bag of CO2 during crashing, so it definitely did something.
I'd definitely recommend to anyone using a cold crash method that could possibly introduce O² to your beer. All of that hard work and effort is well worth the money spent on the Guardian.
Thanks guys, for making the home rew hobby even better!

This is the second CCG I’ve purchased. The first is going strong, I just needed another. I highly recommend this product.

5 of 5 Worked great with some tweaks Wednesday, May 20, 2026
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from San Diego
Only used it once so far, but it worked great with a few tweaks. - Make sure you pay attention to the on/off valve - it slips and will just dump the air in/co2 out rather than collecting it in the bag.  Mod's to help it work better for me - I put a T valve between the bag and the sanitizer with an on/off on each leg so I could turn off the sanitizer and connect my CO2 tank to fill up the bag (or turn off the co2 in line so it goes to the sanitizer only).  I'm doing two batches in Speidels with lots of head space, so the large bag wasn't large enough for what I needed.  Having the ability to refill the bag with CO2 when draining the fermenters did the trick.

5 of 5 Great product - easy to use Thursday, May 14, 2026

I use this product during Cold Crash and doing a closed transfer to a keg afterwards. It is such a simple design and yet so effective at what it does. Would be lost without it!

5 of 5 Great solution to an age old problem! Friday, September 5, 2025
Reviewer: Matthew Murphy from Lafayette, CO United States
This is well thought out, and is a great way to reduce your oxygen intake. I like that you don't need to rely on a CO2 bottle. I can pull a sample or chill without watching O2 bubble into the fermenter.

5 of 5 Definately Solved My Cold Crash Vacuum Problem Friday, September 5, 2025
Reviewer: Ray Monhan from Millington NJ
This worked exactly as described. If you cannot pressurize your fermenter, this will work for you when cold crashing. Easy to clean and sanitize.

East to set up. Collector bag filled quickly. It remains to be seen whether the collector holds enough CO2 to prevent Oxygen ingress or the check valve holds. I'll report again after  dry hopping and cold crash is complete.
