RECIPE KIT BROCHURE

These kits use the all grain brewing process meaning that you have to mash all the grains to extract sugars as opposed to adding malt extracts to the boil. Please be sure you know what you're getting. Everything included in these kits is removed from inventory at the time you order so they include the freshest stock and refrigerated hops and yeast. You will choose whether the grain is milled before shipping or if it should be left whole. The recommended yeasts for each style kit will be presented as an available accessory and if possible, you will have a choice between a Liquid Yeast and a comparable dry yeast pack.

We are frequently asked why our selection of kits is so limited compared to other shops. We decided a long time ago that we wouldn't just plaster the site with kits based on recipes we found somewhere or just made up on the fly. There are plenty of reliable recipe sources out there. The recipes you find here are all vetted by either Bobby himself or a staff member. When we say vetted, we mean they have been brewed by one of us and received awards at BJCP competitions or at least have been tweaked and perfected over many batches. So, the selection will grow over time but you can be sure you're getting quality over quantity.

Hazy soft wheat beer with flavors and aromas of bananas and clove. Perfect for people who say they don't like hops. Brown Ale meets IPA. Moderate roasty malt backbone and a big punch of hop flavor. Similar to the American Amber with a little more chocolate and roasted character. A light bodied balanced marriage of sweet German malts and herbal/spicy hops. More flavor than typical yellow American beer.

COLD FERMENTED
A dark lager that is a lot easier drinking then it looks. 		A bigger, stronger version of our classic West Coast IPA. A lower ABV Hazy that is still decidedly hoppy. A west coast that is edging up on the more modern interpretation of the style. More late hops for more aromatic push.

A full tropical explosion of hop flavor and aromas. All New Zealand hops layered over pillowy soft HAZY malt. A classic mainstay of the brew pubs across the county. It's often overshadowed by flashier styles, but Amber has great balance and drinkability. COLD FERMENTED

Irish Red is a less hoppy, malt forward version of American Amber. Very drinkable! Decidedly British. Bready malt character with earthy and herbal noble hops on top. A less aggressive  version of a pale ale. Malt favored in the toffee and nutty zone with just enough hops to round it out. Maybe you haven't heard of a dark mild but it's like getting a hug from a long lost British nanny. Smooth, malty,  low ABV. Have a couple.

Easy drinking, light bodied, moderately strong hop flavor. COLD FERMENTED
Malty with rich toasty breadcrust. 		Porter is often a touch sweeter than most stouts with a bit more caramel and toffee and a touch less roast. Don't mistake this for an oatmeal cookie beer.  It's an off-dry stout with chocolate and coffee vibes, and the oatmeal provides a silky soft mouth feel.
