After carefully removing the center spear from a commercial quarter barrel, sixtel, or half barrel SANKE keg, this unit clamps right on over the flange and turns it into a ball lock style keg compatible with homebrew connectors*

This kit comes with the conversion head, a single sided 2" TC gasket and a 2" TC clamp. There is a "soft diptube" which attaches to the liquid side of the tapping head and extends down into the Sanke keg WITHOUT a float. Not many ball floats out on the market will fit into the narrow bore of a Sanke keg. We MAY have one available, but you'll have to ask.

If you are clamping this to an actual 2" TC port rather than the top of a Sanke keg, we can change out the single sided gasket for a standard TC gasket. Just ask.

DISCLAIMERS YOU SHOULD READ:

First, being able to put pressure in a vessel that has TC components is inherently dangerous even though there is a PRV on this unit. The thing is, you have to be mindful enough to vent the vessel before you unclamp the TC. If there is even a few PSI in the keg when you unclamp this, the head will jump off the keg towards your face. Get in a habit of unthreading the PRV completely out before you remove the TC clamp.

* Second. The top port of a Sanke keg IS NOT 2" Triclover. It was never designed that way. It just HAPPENS to be about the same flange diameter. Some Sanke kegs have a flange profile that is very conducive to clamping a 2" TC part to it. Some of them are very much not compatible because the flange profile is too fat for the clamp to grab. If you find that it doesn't work for your keg, return it for a full store credit (you pay the shipping).
