These Stainless Steel fittings are a hybrid between a traditional NPT fitting and a quick disconnect. The female NPT side is cut a little loose so it will fully thread on to any 1/2" male NPT fitting to allow the included captured silicone O-ring to seat and seal.

This particular fitting has a 90 degree 5/8" hose barb on the other end which will accommodate 1/2" ID hoses as long as they are stretchy like our 1/2" ID silicone tubing. This option provides the maximum flow since the barb is a full 1/2" ID. It also doesn't require a hose clamp

The other great application for this fitting is for a dip tube on the inside of your kettle when your bulkheads already have male threads on the inside. This fitting will provide a drop of about 2.5" from the centerpoint of your male NPT fitting. It can be rotated at an angle for less height or simply trimmed.
