Our current stock of these thermometers are made by Miljoco and are branded as such (does not have the BrewHardware logo on the front). They carry a 5 year warranty and feature a stainless steel probe and casing with a glass face. The thermometer is recalibratable via a screw on the back. The range goes from 0 to 250 degrees F and also has a Celsius scale. Accuracy is plus or minus 2F like all bimetal thermometers. The back features male 1/2" NPT thread for mounting into plumbing or into a welded bung in your pot. To turn this into a weldless install, drill a 13/16" hole in your pot and use the "Make Weldless 1/2" Locknut kit" seen in the accessories list. If you are installing into a pot that will be direct fired over a high BTU outdoor cooker, you must install a heat shield to retain warranty. We will not honor claims for exterior damage or condensation problems if you have not purchased a heat shield.

Be sure to calibrate your thermometer! One of mine was calibrated perfectly, and the adjustment screw worked well on it. The other one I got was off about 5 degrees(using the boiling water method) and I had to calibrate it, and the screw was really stiff and only adjusted the dial in one direction so I had to rotate the dial a little less than 360 degrees each time since it would only turn one way.  They both work perfectly though after calibration.

The dial is bright, easy to read, and well marked. Fully adjustable for proper calibration. The short probe is perfect for my mash tun and won't interfere with the mesh bag when doing a BIAB batch. Love it.
