These Stainless Steel "Cool Touch" fittings are a hybrid between a traditional NPT fitting and a quick disconnect. The female NPT side is cut a little loose so it will fully thread on to any 1/2" male NPT fitting to allow the included captured silicone O-ring to seat and seal. We hesitate to call them quick disconnects because you have to thread them on and off a few rotations just like a garden hose connector, but the one advantage these have is that they don't require a 2-piece design like other disconnect "sets". We call them Cool Touch fittings because the area that you grip to thread the fittings on is wrapped in silicone rubber that doesn't get as hot as the metal.

This particular fitting has a straight 5/8" hose barb on the other end which will accommodate 1/2" ID hoses when stretched over a bit.

Works Great for AF 10.5 and 1/2 Silicon hose	Saturday, February 20, 2021

I have used this to connect to the valve on my Anvil Foundry 10.5. The barb size is perfect for 1/2 silicon tubing. The threads on the AF aren't NPT so standard camlock fittings don't fit well. This swivel fitting was a great fit.
