The Vintageshop 3 gallon PET clear plastic carboy is a great alternative to those afraid of handling glass. These are similar to the BetterBottle type fermenter but they are made of thicker plastic which allows the sides to be smooth walled rather than have ribs for strength. You'll find people that prefer these over Better Bottles and vice versa be we think they look pretty good. 3 gallons are great for splitting 5 gallon batches for yeast comparisons or other experiments.

The mouth fits a No. 10 rubber stopper or the universal intermediate size.

Do not fill or clean with liquids hotter than 127 °F (53 °C).
