Description

2" Tri-Clover or Sanitary fittings as they are often called, mate up the the tap neck of a Sanke or similar type kegs very well. There are a few reasons why a brewer would want to do this. The first simple use is to turn a keg into a fermenter. Simply stretch some silicone tubing over the male NPT portion of the triclover and you've got an airtight blowoff tube. The more interesting use is for keg based brewing vessel bottom drains. Cut the bottom of the keg out and then flip it over so that the valve neck is facing down. Read more for ideas and limitations.

Install Requirements:

All product options here assume that you've removed the valve assembly and dip tube out of the keg. You should be able to look inside the keg through the 2" hole. Note that the actual diameter of the flange on the keg opening should be approximately 2.5" and the ID should be about 2". This applies to MOST commercial kegs available but please double check.

Options:

Three Piece Kit - 2" TC adapter with 1/2 MALE NPT threads, special silicone gasket with one flat side, and clamp.The adapter included in this option is the one in the upper left of the picture. It does not include the adapter shown in the upper right of the picture. The gasket is "special" because one side is ribbed to fit to the TC side and flat on the other side to sit flat on the keg flange.

Excellent product with great service. My Sanke bottom kit works perfect for my mash tun! Everything came in perfect shape with quick shipping. Only thing I wish was the on the mobile page there was the option of the 5 piece kit below it. After receiving the 3 piece I decided the 5 piece was better so I had to piece together the other 2 pieces. But hey they gave me a Segway to order a ball valve and some other pieces so I'm not mad! Overall great experience and I will continue to shop from this site!

Standard keg from your liquor store, frat party, etc.

When it's installed, you can't stack your kegs on top of each other without a 2x4 spacer. I highly suggest if you are stacking kegs, make a framed spacer anyway so they don't fall over.
