These 304SS locknuts have 1/2" NPS straight thread so they will thread all the way down the threads of any NPT fitting. One side has an integrated round flat flange to provide a large surface area to back up a flat silicone gasket. This is a good choice for when your hole is a little oversized and the oring on a typical bulkhead is falling into the hole. As the hole gets larger, it becomes more important to center your fitting to keep the gasket overlapping the hole.

We use one of these locknuts on our VB2 bulkhead assemblies for inside the cooler.

The locknut is about 1/4" thick and the flange has a diameter of 1-3/8".

It's a known quality so I bought this as an extra because you never know when a project will come up in the future. I like the large flange because it allows me to customize the OD of whatever washer or gasket I'll be using.
