Description

This kit is built around a very unique custom piece we made for those converting their Grainfathers to have camlocks on the top of the pump output tube. It is essentially a standard 1/2" standard type D camlock female but instead of 1/2" Female NPT thread, we put 3/8" BSP taper threads to thread directly on to the Grainfather's valve without extra adapters.

The conversion starts out with the CAMDcustom38bsp piece which gets threaded on to the top of the recirculation tube, above the valve. This faces a female camlock straight up.

Next, you'll attach the include CAME fitting to the wort input hose of the Grainfather Chiller after cutting off the stock thread fitting.

Lastly you will insert another included CAME fitting into the length of included 24" of 3/8" silicone tubing. This tubing gets routed through the lid's center hole and bypasses the need for the "U" shaped stainless tubing assembly.

Now you can easily switch between mashing and chilling operations with the flick of two cam locking arms and switching which of the CAME fittings get locked into the recirculation tube.

I wish there were an option to get the grainfather recirc arm with a camlock connection but the kit gives you everything you need to brew without it.
