Description   No more rusty element bases after two batches! This element will make 5500 watts at 240 volts or approximately 1400 watts on 120 volts. The length of the element from the hex flange to the tip is 14.5 inches. At 5500 watts, the watt density is approximately 60 watts per square inch making it an ULWD element. At 120 volts/1400 watts, it's a mere 15 watts per square inch. The element features a 1" NPS threaded base and the wiring is done via two screw terminals. This element does not have any install parts included, nor a way to attach a ground wire or cover the connections. This particular version of the threaded ripple element is polished stainless steel and made in China. If you're partial to U.S. made products, we offer one of those elsewhere on the site at a slightly increased cost and they are slightly cosmetically inferior. It is extremely important that you consult with an electrical professional for advice or wiring help. Under no circumstances should these be used without proper wiring, ground fault circuit protection, over current circuit protection.
