This is the 10 Gallon version of the Sling Blade Element.
BrewHardware.com NOTE: Although this is sized to fit a typical 10 gallon pot, we have been successful in gently tightening up the radius of the element to fit smaller kettles. The 15 can be manipulated into a 10 for example. We do it in house, just let us know your application before ordering. This has the advantage of getting a higher wattage than the OEM fit elements.
The BrewBuilt SlingBlade's unique crescent-shaped design promotes a
rolling boil and even heat distribution. This electric heating element
places all of the heating power on one side of the kettle, sending
thermal energy upward to the surface that then cascades downward on the
opposite side of the kettle. This movement creates a natural turbulence
that evenly distributes heat while creating a vigorous boil. By being
located on one side of the kettle, the other side is clear for immersion
chillers.
The SlingBlade heating elements were designed to fit perfectly with
BrewBuilt brewing kettles, but you may find them suitable for other
kettles as well. They should be used with T.C. ferrules no longer than
1" in length. For dimensions and recommended minimum kettle diameter,
please see the chart below. Note: These elements ARE compatible with Brewhardware's

Please note: Length is measured from the
tip of the heating element to the T.C. connection. Radius is measured
from the middle of the T.C. connection to the outermost edge of the
element's curve.
It is extremely important that you consult with an electrical professional for advice or wiring help. Under no circumstances should these be used without proper wiring, ground fault circuit protection, over current circuit protection. We are not licensed electricians so we cannot provide wiring advice.
After years of experience with these types of elements, we have concluded that the connectivity between the L6-30 prongs and the mating female receptacle is a common point of failure as oxidation from humid environments begins to degrade conductivity. The best long term solution we've come up with is the use of a light coating of a product called Conductive Assembly Paste. It is expensive and not usually available in tiny packages but we've done the repackaging locally. We now include a 1mL syringe of this paste with the purchase of this style of element. Note that we only include a single 1mL tube for up to 3 elements purchased.
