I use this with a male QD (camlock type A) to push beer out of my ssbrewtech fermenter into a keg. At packaging, a gas QD clamps onto gas ball lock/ male camlock combo which is connected to a silicone hose with a female camlock at one end and a plain open hose at the other. I then set the regulator to 1-2 psi and move the beer without having to lift 60 pounds out of a chest freezer.
Having this little gizmo means I don't have to set up a dedicated CO2 line. I also can use any of the hoses that I use on brew day. It's pretty amazing that a complicated task can be performed with ordinary gear... plus the missing link.
