This particular item is just the sprayer head assembly based on 1.5" TC (2" actual flange diameter) since we've had a lot of requests to sell just this part.

What's Included:
  • 1.5" TC sprayer adapter with your choice of 6 or 9 gallon per hour sprayer tip or no tip at all (you supply your own). The GPH ratings are at 40 PSI. We find the 6GPM works great on 45 PSI (at 60F water source) on a 7 gallon boil. If you have lower water pressure or your tap water runs warmer than 70F, you may need the 9GPM sprayer. If you are doing 10 or 15 gallon batches, you may need the 9 GPH.
  • OPTIONAL: Right angle water shut off valve with push in connection for 1/4" OD PE tubing . Note that this valve is meant to turn your source water on and off in a pinch without having to run back to your water source. It does NOT throttle flow rate at all and cannot be used for that. The sprayer type is the only thing that can vary how much water flows.
If you order this without the top valve or without the sprayer tip, keep in mind the thread sizes. The top of the cap has 1/4" Male NPT threads. The bottom drop tube has 1/8" Female NPT threads.

The distance between the bottom of the TC cap to the tip of the sprayer is 3-1/4".

There are NO TC clamps or gaskets included.

I would have just gotten the complete Steam Slayer but it was not in stock at the time, and I didn't mind doing some DIY with other parts.  I got both nozzles because I really didn't know what kind of performance to expect and wanted the ability to adjust.  I'm using the 6 gph off of well water pressure (~35psi) on a 10G kettle, typically boiling ~7g.  I adjusted the heating element power to maintain a good rolling boil, but not so high that the condensate was coming out too hot (targeted 100-120 deg).  Ended up cutting the boiloff rate roughly in half I think.  It was really nice keeping everything indoors for brew day and not lugging a heavy hot kettle in and out.  Will continue experimenting to find the optimal balance.  I'm inclined to believe the reports of DMS elimination.  The bucket of condensate was definitely pretty stinky so it's pulling plenty of bad stuff out of the wort.
