Description

If you have an external facing 1.5" TC port on your pot or tank but nothing on the inside to connect to, this is an option for getting a diptube, whirlpool return, or racking arm installed. Insert the tube from the outside and clamp it in with a standard 1.5" TC clamp and gasket (not included). You can then rotate the 90 degree bend in any direction you like. If you'd like to make it rotatable while liquid is still in the kettle/tank, select a PTFE gasket instead of silicone. It's more slippery so it will rotate without leaking after slightly loosening the TC clamp*. From there you'll clamp on any variety of 1.5" TC flanged device, most likely a ball valve or butterfly valve.

This is one of the largest tube designs in the industry that will still make it through a typical 1.5" welded TC ferrule (with a 1-3/8" inside diameter). The tubing is 1" in OD and approximately 7/8" ID. The horizontal depth of reach is about 3" from the flange and the drop length is about 4" from the center point. The only customizing we can do is to trim the drop length.

Don't forget! The 1.5" TC size designation means that the actual flange diameter measures 2". This is not obvious to casual users and is a common source of frustration.

*Please be careful. If your vessel is full and you want to rotate the arm, you have to slightly loosen the clamp but we mean SLIGHTLY. If you loosen it too much it will leak. If you loosen it way too much, the clamp can open and you'll dump your contents in seconds.

4 of 5 Really good pieces for hot side November 28, 2023
Reviewer: Jason from San Francisco, CA United States
I bought two of these, one to use as a diptube in a 10 USG wort grant, and one as a rotatable racking arm/diptube in a 3 BBL kettle, in a pro brewery.  The items work great.  Note that this is welded tube, so it has a seam on the inside, and the welds aren't ground and polished to sanitary.  This is fine for my needs as they are used on the hot side, but I wouldn't use them for cold side stuff, due to this.

I ordered the wrong size dip tube but that’s my fault. This larger diameter tube works fine.
