Really easy May 13, 2021 Reviewer: Trenton from Arlington, TX   This cuts through my stainless keg very easily. I drilled a small hole first and then used the drill. The drill bit was tougher to use than the hole saw. Maybe took 2 minutes all together. Was this review helpful to you?

Great hole saw for the price April 13, 2019 Reviewer: Larry Sand from Duluth, MN United States   The trick to using a hole saw like this is slow speed (I used 700 rpm) and even feed.  Plus a little cutting oil.   I have cut 5 holes in SS and the bit is still like new. Failed on First Use November 22, 2018 Reviewer: Steve Jimmerson from Milton, FL United States   Started a hole for solder on 1 1/2" TC fitting. After half way through it stopped cutting. Checked and all but one of the carbide teeth were gone. Got out my Lenox bimetal 1 3/8" hole saw and finished the hole. Had to also cut a 7/8" hole in same pot. Used a Southwire carbide hole saw. No problem. BrewHardware.com response: We can understand that these are not up to the same standards as some of the $40+ versions out there but we've yet to break one on the first use. One thing we want to warn others about is that cutting holes this large is asking a lot of any quality bit and it's very important to brace your drill very firmly, using your leg as a support, to keep the bit from kicking. If it catches and you lose control of the drill, it's easy to damage the bit. This is another case where we were not contacted about the problem so there was no hope for making up for it. Awesome "Kinda" May 6, 2017 Reviewer: Matt McCann from Corinth, TX United States   This thing ripped through two kettles like butter. The reason for three stars is the bit. It drilled through the SS just fine but as the teeth of the hole saw engaged it snapped the bit off like a twig. I had to replace it with my own bit which worked fine for the rest of the biild. Like Butter December 7, 2016 Reviewer: Noah Beach from Moncks Corner, SC United States   Having upgraded my pots from aluminum to stainless steel I need to redrill holes for various items (elements, valves, herms coil, etc). Having used a step bit to drill my aluminum pots, I was loathing attempting the stainless. This bit cut through the stainless like butter. Little bit of cutting oil and was done in literally seconds. This guy works! October 14, 2016 Reviewer: william spencer from Columbia, MO United States   I just used this bit to drill the hole for my 1.5 tc flange and it cut thru the stainless wall of my pot with ease.
