Description

Malt Type: Base Grain Origin: North America Wort Color: 1.8 Lovibond Protein: 11.0-12.0% Moisture: 4.0% max. Extract (dry): 80.0% min. Diastatic Power:140 Usage: 100% max.Standard 2-Row is a light-colored base malt made from a blend of American 2-Row barley varieties. It is darker than most lager malts, but lighter than most pale ale malts. It has moderate protein levels, and good extract yield. Its neutral characteristics make it extremely versatile, and it is widely used by American craft breweries as a choice base malt for any beer style.

More info on this malt can be found here at the Briess website.

Note that we consider Briess and Rahr generally interchangeable and when you order this 2row product, you may get either. If you have a particular preference, call ahead and we'll let you know what is in the bin currently.

Grain is now offered in either pounds or ounces to better accommodate customer needs. Please pay attention to which item you are ordering and select your quantity appropriately. Remember, there are 16 ounces in a pound.
