This tubing has good quality insulation. You could buy your own 3/8 tubing and pick up self-sealing pipe insulation for a much lower total cost, but that would be much more bulky. And probably won't fit as snug.

Even after reading other reviews I was a little confused and purchased an extra set by accident. This product consists of TWO hoses, both sleeved. The insulation is connected at the center so the two hoses run parallel next to each other. You need to snip the connecting part of the insulation to split the hoses away from each to reach fittings at either end.
