Description

These have been very hard to find recently so we made the very expensive decision to order 500 sets to better serve you.

3/8" hose barbs will work with Spike insulated glycol sets or any 3/8" or 5/16" ID flexible tubing.

One set gets you a disconnect in your glycol send and return line. One button push and you disconnect both. Both ends of this system have spring loaded poppet valves so you lose virtually no glycol out of the hoses (OKAY maybe one or two drops).

IMPORTANT!
When the hoses are disconnected and the coolant is trapped in either a cooling coil or fermenter jacket space, heating either the coil or the fermenter up with hot liquids MAY cause a failure at at least one of the QD connections because that heat expansion has nowhere to go. You have two choices to prevent this.

1. Leave the connection intact so any glycol expansion can go back to the glycol reservoir during CIP operation.
2. Move the disconnect point further away from the fermenter so that there is at least a foot of tubing in the trapped loop since it is capable of some expansion.

Yes, the price is a bit steep but we are not making much on these. They are just expensive.

These things are great!! You can disconnect houses and only lose a few drops of liquid, I should have found these 10 years ago!
