Measure your flow rate from .25 to 2.5 GPM (gallons per minute) and 1 to 10 LPM (liters per minute).

The flow meter features 1/2" NPT male attachments on the top and bottom. There are a lot of uses for this thing, but primarily brewers will install it on the input of their mash tun recirculation/sparge port (usually using the Blichmann Autosparge) to monitor the recirculation and sparge rates. This allows you to leave the lids in place and monitor that the flow of the sparge is still moving along.

If you were to install this onto the threaded version of the autosparge, the only extra connection needed would be a 1/2" NPT 90 degree elbow.

If you would like to have TC ports on the top and bottom, we offer a service to sanitary weld 1.5" TC flanges (shown as an accessory on the right).

Always wondered how fast I was recirculating the mash or running it out to the boil kettle but hadn't found a rotameter that claimed it could survive brewing temperatures. Found this Blichmann meter on Bobby's site and gave it a try. It's amazingly accurate even at just 1 quart per minute (my preferred runoff rate) and at 1/2, 1 and 2 gpm it's always within a margin of measurement error. Two thumbs up!
