Description

With a clean slate, the Ss Engineering Team took a stab at creating the perfect sanitary valve for brewing. The foundation of the Pure Flow Valve is a removable silicone membrane that seamlessly integrates TC gasket geometry. This ingenious design provides a 100% sanitary environment where beer makes contact with nothing except pure silicone while inside the valve.
12 PSI capable
76mm length (3")
1.5" TC Connections
Fully Rebuildable

The TC flanges are 1/1.5" standard which means the actual flange diameter on both the in and out ports is 2" actual. The bore is about 3/4" all the way through.

Bobby's Take (and we don't mince words which is why you shop here):

For several years, I considered the Blichmann Linear Flow valve a superior combination of the flow adjustability of a ball valve but with the sanitary cleanability of a butterfly valve. As of Spring 2026, Blichmann seems to be winding down operations and the availability of the linear flow has become an issue. The SSbrewtech pure flow is the closest thing on the market to solving the same problem.

  • PRO: It's better than a ball valve because ball valves have a cavernous area between the internal seats that tends to build up soil, sticky wort, and later bacteria. The PUREFLOW doesn't have any internal nook and crannies.
  • PRO: It's better than a butterfly valve because the flow is infinitely more adjustable than the coarse position stops of a butterfly. I'd also argue that it's even more sanitary because even a butterfly has large joints between the SS flanges and the midsection seat. You can get some soil in that crack.
  • CON: It takes several turns to go from full open to full closed (This is a con compared to butterfly valves but it's the same as the Linear Flow).
  • CON: The wear component (the internal diaphragm) is about 1/3rd the price of the new valve and is a proprietary piece you can't cobble together from another vendor (as opposed to the Blichmann valve that uses two common sized orings as the wear component).
