I have had several of these on three different pots (2 boil kettles and an HLT) over the course of two years. It is a great idea and a nice design. However, you must be somewhat careful when moving the pot with the element housing attached. The housing can flex and open at the threads and, if you aren't paying attention like I wasn't, the tiny welds at the TC connection can break. Bobby was absolutely superb about replacing the one with the failed weld, so I only took off one star in the review. Thus, my rating for this housin is very good with the caveat that you need to avoid slinging the pot (into the sink, for instance) with the housing attached. The heavy power cord creates enough leverage to pop open the housing or snap the welds...
