How do I return an item?

We accept returns of normally stocked items that are still in like-new condition. Discontinued items are not returnable. Store credit for full purchase amount is standard policy but we will also honor direct refunds to the buyer's Paypal or Credit Card account minus a 10% restocking fee upon request. Special order products and custom builds are treated differently*

If you are confident that the item meets the above criteria, you may send the item back without any contact with us.
  • Pack the item well to avoid damage.
  • Use a shipping service of your choice, but we recommend one that includes tracking.
  • Include in the box: Your full name, the original order number and/or packing slip if you have it, and a short note indicating one of the following:
    • I would like a refund on my original payment method, minus a 10% restock/processing fee.
    • I would like 100% store credit added to my account.
    • I have already purchased replacement items for what I am returning (a pre-emptive exchange) so please refund 100% of the returned items (please include the order number of the replacement items).
  • Our return address is the same as our retail store: BrewHardware Returns, 135 Main Street, Suite B, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889
  • If the items are being returned for reasons other than a BrewHardware mistake, the buyer is responsible for return postage. The original shipping cost is also not refundable.
  • Refunds are processed within 1-3 days of receipt. If you find that the box has been delivered but no refund has been processed after several days, please feel free to contact us.
  • Important!... If your original order qualified for flat or free shipping offers and you are returning all or most of that order, we will debit our actual shipping cost from the refund/store credit. Why? The flat and free shipping offers are a courtesy subsidy that comes out of our profit margin for larger orders. When those items are returned, the shipping cost is a full loss that we cannot absorb.


* Special Orders:
If a customer asks us to order in a product that we do not normally stock, they should contact us about returns prior to shipping them back to us. We will honor returns as long as our vendor will allow us to return to them. In other words, if the return time frame has not been exceeded and/or the product type is returnable. We assess a 10% restocking fee with no exception for store credit as in our normally stocked products. In addition, we will reduce the refund by the exact amount we have to pay to return the product to our vendor. When we quote custom order products, we do not overly inflate the markup to accommodate the added costs of returns.

*Custom Builds

We do offer several products that are fabricated to customer specifications. If the product provided meets the specifications received on the order, it is not returnable. Of course, if we misread the specifications and built it incorrectly, we will replace it at our cost. If there is any questions about how to properly measure for custom builds, call or email before ordering. Misunderstandings are usually avoidable with some simple pre-purchase engagement. Note that we consider tubing/hose sold by the foot to be custom products unless the length is at least 20 feet continuous length. Additionally, if it appears that liquid has been inside the tubing or silicone tubing is covered in dirt and/or animal fur (yes, we have received this more than once), it is not returnable. It's strange. The next customer that would buy that tubing tends to be disappointed.

Warranty

Items of a mechanical or electrical function are warrantied for 6 months from the date of purchase (time sitting in the box being unused does not subtract time). Damage or failure as a result of misuse outside of manufacturer recommendations is not covered (such as dry firing electrical elements or cutting a pump electrical cord). The buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to us if we require the item back (our discretion) for all warranty claims except for (DOA) dead on arrival items (which we will cover shipping on).
