The price is close enough that my time is waisted building small, simple units like this one. The thing works out of the box, is clean and brainless to setup and use. Well worth the money. Works well but may overheat. March 21, 2021 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Pensacola, FL United States   After brewing several batches, I feel comfortable reviewing this system.  It works well and I haven't had any major problems during a brew session.   The only problem I have experienced was towards the end of a long brew day.  The Inkbird got very hot and melted the fuse.  It seems that it got hot enough to desolder the wire within the fuse, which caused the system to lose power.  When inspecting the fuse, it looked undamaged and I initially thought the Inkbird failed. If the Inkbird had better cooling, I would give this 5 stars. Was this review helpful to you?

scorched wort February 6, 2021 Reviewer: Anonymous Person   rims tube is amazing no quality issues. But the ink bird unit made it less than a year before it started to scorch my wort terribly. i tried everything to fix the issue. wasted 4 batches of beer trying to sort this issue out. buy the tube skip the PID Was this review helpful to you?

Wonderful Step Towards Electric Brewing January 19, 2021 Reviewer: Chris Oliva from Los Angeles, CA   This RIMS system is fantastic. It produces crystal clear wort and maintains temperature perfectly. I'm still getting the hang of the flow rate--with the pump output wide open, temperature stays consistent in the mash tun vs RIMS PID. When flow rate is slowed down, then you have to offset the temps as it can drop within the tun. For example, if you want to hit a temp of 148, you may need to set your PID for 152 (YMMV). But ultimately, it's made my brew day much easier. Even though it takes a little while, I now heat my strike water with this while I prep everything for the rest of the brew day. Then I can dough in and move right through the rest of my day. Love this thing. Great step as I transition towards electric brewing. Was this review helpful to you?

January 13, 2020 Reviewer: Adam from Ohio   Great package, highly recommended! Couple minor issues: -You do need a reasonable flow rate to prevent scorching the wort while heating. -I needed to do some additional deburring on the thermowell to get the probe to fit. -The glue was kind of a mess, and it was on the element as well. It came off after using the element. Besides that it's very well designed and built. It can increase the temp of a 7-8 gal mash reasonably quickly. Was this review helpful to you?

I always check here 1st October 30, 2019 Reviewer: Marc Cummings from Poplar Bluff, MO United States   I got their RIMS system the other day and rigged up a stand out of some old lumber I had laying around and it works just as advertised.
