5 of 5 Perfect for non ventilated basement October 17, 2020
Reviewer: Celo626 from Boston, MA
This thing is solidly built, attaches easily and performs 100% as advertised.  I was able to boil with little to no steam in my unventilated basement “brew cave.”  You have to fine tune the spray to see where it works best for you, but I maintained a boil at 55% of normal power on the 110v foundry.  Word of advice if using on the foundry, pick up the 52mm socket here to make a secure connection thru the bulkhead.  100% recommend!

5 of 5 Worked as indicated October 16, 2020
Reviewer: Gerald Hodge from Elburn, IL United States
Tried it and was very pleased with the results - the 6 gallon per hour nozzle worked fine with my Anvil Foundry at about 50% power for the boil.  No steamed up garage!

5 of 5 Steam Slayer First Impressions October 25, 2019
Reviewer: jamorgan3777 from Appleton, WI United States
First Impression: WOW

Installation was easy.  I purchased the 1.5" carbide drill bit and made the hole (using a drill press) in my kettle about 3/4" down from the brim.  The 3/4" tri clamp bulkhead installed easy.

Last night I did my first test.  Filled the kettle with 5 gallons of water and set it to boil.  Was a hard rolling boil with the lid on and steam shooting all around the edge of the lid.  Turned on the source line and it was like magic.  Not a hint of steam.
Pros:
Very effective vapor management
Easy installation
Cost effective
Reduced power consumption (sometimes by a LOT)

Neutrals:
Need to adjust boil-off rates

Cons:
Reduced kettle/batch volumes (YMMV)
Increased water usage
Need for constant source and drain (easy in my setup, but again YMMV)

Final Verdict:
If you have vapor management issues with your brewing, this is definitely a good way to go if your setup allows.

My third favorite item for brewing. First was switching to kegging, then going electric and then the condenser. This thing works flawlessly.

5 of 5 Used on Brew Easy, LTE Controller and Brew Vision April 28, 2019
Reviewer: James FELL from Maryville, IL United States
Did my test run today on 240V Brew Easy System. Filled the boil kettle with 10 gallons of tap water. Ramped temp up to near boiling using 100% power. Dialed back power to 45% as boil neared.  No problem maintaining strong boil with lid on and 45% power. Turned on Steam Slayer with 9 GPH rating. Boiled for exactly 1 hour. Created about 11 gallons of water and condensed steam and lost .75 gallons in my boil kettle( normally around 1.5 -1.75 gallons) during the boil.  Water coming from Steam Slayer was approximately 135F and contained a very small amount of steam  escaping with the water. Excellent product!

5 of 5 Inexpensive fan alternative January 19, 2019
Reviewer: Fred Hirsch from Cheyenne, WY United States
Draws out steam well. I am seeing about 2/3's my original boil off of 1 gallon. The element is generally happy around 40-50% on my 5500W element and controller. I had a small issue with the supply line inner diameter being too small for the garden hose fitting. Using common 1/4 drip irrigation tubing solved that problem.

5 of 5 Effective condenser from a single source! January 5, 2019
Reviewer: Matthew Robus from Juneau, AK United States
This is a great way to source everything you need for an effective condenser in one place! Mine is completely effective in eliminating steam, and keeping the lid on greatly reduces the power required during the boil - and the beer tastes great, no negative change from my previous brews. Also, the use of parts to allow hookup to any sink or toilet supply line is ingenious, and solved my quandry about how I was going to get cold water to the condenser. Highly recommend!

5 of 5 Works as intended! December 8, 2018
Reviewer: JRC from MD, United States
Brewed using this on a new eBIAB system last weekend.  Simple to set up and use.  Boil off was certainly lower than I typically had experienced when brewing outdoors w/o a lid during the boil (and with propane).  This was not a surprise at all.  As a reference for others, I started with just under 8 gal to begin a 60min boil and ended with about 7 gal (a bit over).
