Great, but solder from the inside February 28, 2015 Reviewer: Michael Richards from Falcon Heights, MN United States   I ordered these to put on my kettle for a ball valve and heating element. Since I did two, the second one went much easier: drill your hole slightly smaller than the ID of the flange, then clamp on the flange (I found that applying flux to both surfaces, letting it sit, wiping it off and applying more resulted in the solder being drawn in much better under the flange) and apply solder to the INSIDE edge first, then the outside. The last step is to grind down the inside edge of the hole in the pot to be flush with the inside edge of the flange (can be done with a Dremel and patience). This is a great product! Works just like it should February 5, 2015 Reviewer: brian gural from North Franklin, CT United States   Soldering was easy. Watch the video it makes it alot easier. Make a tool like described in the video and then solder. Works great. I've installed 2 makes cleanup easy and allows for the use of any 1.5 triclover fitting. Will install on all of my other kettles. 1-1/4 radius welded flang. January 6, 2015 Reviewer: Arthur Beatmann from Lafayette , LA United States   Products are great, but the flang needs to be used with trip clover hardware. I'm on a tight budget, going with weldless bulkheads. Also having trouble with the welder, gave him 3 or 4 projects 3 weeKS ago and has not started on anything. Was this review helpful to you?
