Great, but solder from the inside |

I ordered these to put on my kettle for a ball valve and heating element. Since I did two, the second one went much easier: drill your hole slightly smaller than the ID of the flange, then clamp on the flange (I found that applying flux to both surfaces, letting it sit, wiping it off and applying more resulted in the solder being drawn in much better under the flange) and apply solder to the INSIDE edge first, then the outside. The last step is to grind down the inside edge of the hole in the pot to be flush with the inside edge of the flange (can be done with a Dremel and patience). This is a great product!
