The individual plastic pieces don't move against each other as easily when wet. Once or twice I've had this come detached from the port on my cooler when positioning it out of the way when mashing in, but it's a simple thing to reattach it when that happens since the same increased friction makes attaching them easier as well.
If you also use the Add On Sparge Ring be aware that you can't vorlauf through this without clogging at least a few of the nozzles. If you are using this without the extra sparge ring there shouldn't be any problem using it to recirculate.
