2" Tri-Clover or Sanitary fittings as they are often called, mate up the
the tap neck of a Sanke or similar type kegs very well. There are a few
reasons why a brewer would want to do this. The first simple use is to
turn a keg into a fermenter. Simply stretch some silicone tubing over
the male NPT portion of the triclover and you've got an airtight blowoff
tube. The more interesting use is for keg based brewing vessel bottom
drains. Cut the bottom of the keg out and then flip it over so that the

product options here assume that you've removed the valve assembly and
dip tube out of the keg. You should be able to look inside the keg
through the 2" hole. Note that the actual diameter of the flange on the
keg opening should be approximately 2.5" and the ID should be about 2".
This applies to MOST commercial kegs available but please double check.
