Purchased for 10 gal Homedepot cooler. July 19, 2020 Reviewer: Gregory Stephens from Savannah , GA United States   The Home Depot cooler comes with a 1 inch opening so the Weldless fitting is a bit loose but seals well with my own washers that I had from standard bulkhead fittings. The Weldless comes with one small washer that is probably only useful if you are putting this thing into a kettle and would use their thin, loose fitting washer on the outside. Anyway, in the mash cooler I used large, thick, tighter fitting washers on the inside and outside and this Weldless fitting works great. Without the upgraded washers, the whole thing will just pull through from the inside as it’s too small at 13/16. So with the upgraded washers this thing works great! I would send photos of the install if brew hardware has a way.... Was this review helpful to you?

Converting round cooler January 15, 2019 Reviewer: Brian from OH United States   I purchased to upgrade/convert two round igloo cooler (5 & 10 gallons).  It works well, but just.  I had to use about 7 wraps of Teflon tape in order for the valve to tighten leak free and the handle touches the cooler(s) when the valve is closed.  I feel the threaded portion could be 1/4-1/2 inch to permit some room for handle access and better thread engagement.  Despite these drawbacks, this is an elegant and simple solution. Great bulkhead...no threads! July 28, 2018 Reviewer: Trevor Hawn from Nashville, TN United States   I bought this bulkhead to replace the traditional bulkhead on my cooler mash tun. I discovered a lots of build up in the threads on the old one. This bulkhead is great because none of the threads are in contact with the contents of your vessel. Quality bulkhead May 16, 2017 Reviewer: Stephen from Salem, MA United States   This is a definite improvement over most any other bulkhead that I have used. The installation is easy, there's very little play once it's installed and it is easy to get it to be leak free. Teflon tape needed to be installed on the threads to prevent water from leaking back out from the bulkhead valve, but it was easy to get this part right. Was this review helpful to you?
