4 of 5 It Works !!! I'm going to buy another !! February 1, 2021
Reviewer: Steve Oatley from Berkley, MI United States
It works just like a Balloon.... filling with CO2 during
Fermentation, and that CO2 moves back into your
Fermentor, when Cold Crash Begins, saving your beer from Oxygen.
It would be PERFECT if it had 1/2 inch connectors, as most
fermentors are using 1/2 inch tubing for blow off currently.

5 of 5 Perfect For Cold Crashing and Transferring January 19, 2021
Reviewer: Chris Oliva from Los Angeles, CA
This is one of the best purchases I've made on the fermentation side. I use it on my SS Brewtech Brew Bucket with the Brewhardware weldless bulkhead gas ball lock. I can cold crash without O2 exposure, and also use the remaining captured CO2 in the bag for closed transfer. On the bucket, it makes for easy hydrometer samples by opening the bladder bag to pull what I need.

5 of 5 Perfect December 16, 2020

Love this thing. I have SS brewbuckets and love their ease of use/cleaning so I didn’t want to spend all the $$ to upgrade to fermenters that pressurize. I also tried the CO2 Harvester out there and it just doesn’t hold enough CO2, even with huge mason jars. I also used silicone tubing with this to give it more flexibility and length. Bobby has a TC to Gas post that makes attaching the guardian to the fermenter super quick. Lastly, if you forget or have the guardian attached to another fermenter, you can slowly fill the bag from a CO2 tank.

3 of 5 Cold crash guardian November 17, 2020
Reviewer: Steve Gravel from Portsmouth , RI United States
I purchased my first CCG a couple of years ago. I like the idea and used it for oxygen free transfer as well as cold crashing.  I had to purchase a new one because the cap on the bag split. I suggest making a stronger cap system.

4 of 5 Setup? November 16, 2020
Reviewer: Joseph Michaud from Yucaipa, CA United States
I watched the video on how the cold crash guardian works. (Nice sales demo) some detailed instructions would be helpful!

About the one-way check valve, which way is the arrow supposed to go?
away from the bladder bag or towards it?

I installed the one-way check valve with the arrow pointing away from the bladder and towards the catch container.
but some Star San was pulled into my fermentation bucket when the bladder deflated.

5 of 5 Perfect November 3, 2020

You certainly can't beat it for the price. Price notwithstanding it was still amazing. Plenty of co2 left for a 5 gallon batch after a prolonged cold crash. Their videos and instructions were clear and easy and setup was fast. Brewed a delicious Oktoberfest and couldn't be happier.

5 of 5 Works like a charm! August 2, 2020
Reviewer: Kevin Chorzelewski from Laurel Springs, NJ United States
In the past, I used either the S shaped airlock or a blowoff tube in sanitizer.  Recently, during a cold crash, I had quite a few ounces of Starsan get sucked into the beer and decided that it was time for the Cold Crash Guardian.  After putting this to the test and being a little skeptical, I was pleased to see that it works as advertised!  No oxygen or sanitizer was pulled into the beer.  This is a must have!

5 of 5 Great solution April 13, 2020
Reviewer: Mark Flinn from Hopkinton, MA United States
Always had issues with suck-back during the cold crash and my other solutions didn’t eliminate O2 getting into the fermenter. This is a great solution and the price is beyond reasonable.

5 of 5 Works like it should March 17, 2020
Reviewer: Dustin from Wisconsin
I let fermentation fill the bag, temp was at 65 and dropped it down to 35 and the bag was still partially full.  Works just like it should, cheap and simple solution to an issue that a lot of brewers have

4 of 5 Works great March 9, 2020
Reviewer: Jeff Rieder from Cleves, OH United States
My first try, I got the bag to fill completely with CO2 from the fermenter.  On cold crash, I think the bung I had it running through lost its seal, so unfortunately probably sucked back in oxygen instead of the CO2 from the  bag.  I have to physically move my fermenter from the basement to my garage fridge to cold crash and likely knocked it loose during transport.  My fault, but product seems to work great and perform as advertised.
