I ordered this awhile ago didn't have the chance to use if until a few weeks ago.  I cant believe I didn't buy this thing when it first came out.  Only bummer was it took my only digital thermometer.  I fix that by getting another from here!  Thanks Bobby and staff

Fits and works just as it should.  When ordering, though, be sure to order the "O" rings to make it work right.  I didn't catch the fact that they had to be ordered separately since they were pictured with the fitting and ended up placing a second order to get them.  I would have preferred that the "O" rings had just been included with the fitting and the price adjusted as needed to accommodate.

BREWHARDWARE RESPONSE

Hi, the pair of ORINGs are in fact included with the PCOMP fittings. If you did not receive them with the original shipment, we would have shipped them at our cost if we knew. The availability of the orings on the site are simply for spares or replacements.

5 of 5 Thermo Probe Compression Fitting January 6, 2015

Works fantastic for probing liquid temperatures with a digital thermometer at the output of a chiller. I had to purchase a new thermometer since the diameter of my thermoworks RT600C is not wide enough. Also, go ahead and buy extra o-rings. I almost lost one on brew day. They're easy to lose since they're so small. I'm a  little surprised that extras are $1.50/pair.

When I saw this I thought it was a stupid idea. After asking around about the best way to probe the temperature at the output of a chiller with an external digital thermometer, this is the best method. I had thought that it would be cleaner to just stick the thermometer into a thermowell, however, screwing the digital thermometer in works just fine since it is only done when chilling. Using a thermowell with a digital thermometer is a bad idea since one can't guarantee contact from the probe to the thermowell. Alternatively one could screw in an analog thermometer or hardwire a sensor and it should work fine.

These fittings worked perfectly without a problem, although I had to tighten a bit past hand tight as the instructions suggested. The design is very nice, with two orings used to seal the 1/4" probe.
