Description

Due to the popularity of the Bevseal Ultra tubing, we've also been testing this new similar option from Keg King/ Kegland. Both are semi-rigid exterior tubes with a thin interior barrier layer. This EVA tubing has a slightly smaller interior diameter (4mm instead of 5mm) which allows you to use a shorter lengths. The exterior layer is a little more flexible than Bevseal which makes it easier to run up into a tap tower and bend to tower shanks.
Since we do not get this tubing on a huge roll, we've decided to offer in standard lengths of 5.5 feet which is the good length for serving pressures of 9-14 PSI. If you prefer longer lengths, simply order multiples of this 5.5ft length and just leave a comment that you want the tubing in a single length (note that the max length is 39 ft or quantity seven of the 5.5' length). Finally, if your unique situation is such that 11 feet of line (qty 2 of this product) will not reach between the keg and your faucet shank, you may want to move up to the 5mm ID version of this EVAbarrier tubing which can accommodate longer lengths (up to 20ft without too slow of a pour).

Features:

  • The super slick inner liner is completely flavor neutral. Beer can sit in these lines for days and you can start pouring a pint WITHOUT dumping a single drop.
  • The barrier prevents oxygen from ingressing into your lines. Believe it or not, most widely used beverage and gas tubing does NOT stop ambient oxygen from migrating into your kegging system. Quality nerds have even been known to disconnect their lines from kegs in between pours to keep oxygen from migrating into the keg.
  • The tubing can make use of the very simple push to fit connectors such as John Guest and DuoTight. This is a major time saver for initial builds and subsequent maintenance.
  • Much cheaper than all other so-called premium tubing.
  • 4mm super slick barrier keeps oxygen out.
  • 8mm OD semi-rigid exterior is compact and easy to route in your kegerator.

As mentioned, we REALLY like using the push-fit connectors for this tubing. We stock fittings to thread onto the black ball lock QD (pushFFL) and to thread on the back of a faucet shank (pushSHANK). The picture below shows the application. THIS item does NOT include any connectors. It is just the tubing. Note that we offer a kit will all the items shown in the picture.

If you must terminate the tubing on a hose barb, such in the case of a tower shank, it is possible. For 3/16 barbs, simply dip the end of the tubing in very hot water for a few seconds and push it on. To get it over a 1/4" barb, you can dip the end of the tubing in hot water (not boiling) for 1 minute and flare the open end with a Vaseline-lubricated tapered object (such as small needle nose pliers or a pen cap, etc). Care must be taken to avoid damaging the thin liner. We would be happy to pre-flare one of the ends for attachment to a 1/4" hose barb tower shank for you if you prefer. Simply comment during checkout.

GAS:
We talked about using this tubing for CO2 gas connections as well. Here's how to set that up. Assuming you are running more than one keg, you can split gas from a single regulator output using a manifold. The benefit is that each output has its own shutoff valve. Since each of those valves is a 1/4" MFL output, you'll simply thread a PUSHFFL adapter onto each valve (as well as the grey QDs on the other end) and push the tubing in. The other option for splitting gas to multiple kegs is to use tees, specifically PushTee at any point you want to branch off. While cost is one of the savings using this method, it also allows for a very neat distribution of gas in kegerators with a lot of kegs. In other words, you can run a single line over to a grouping of say 3 kegs and split the gas right in the middle of those three instead of running three lines over to them. The only possible downside is that all your grey QDs will be pressurized whether they are connected to a keg or not (small chance of leaks).

5 of 5 Nice tubing April 6, 2020

I was using Accuflex tubing in my kegerator but it was way too stiff.  This tubing is A LOT MORE flexible and I was able to reuse all of the fittings!

4 of 5 great tubing January 31, 2020

The tubing is as advertised but the advice to place it in boiling water for 2 minutes to get it on a 1/4" barb was a bust.  The tubing melted.

5 of 5 The hype is real January 19, 2020

Upgraded from my old 3/16 ID Micro Matic  beverage lines. In combination with the push fittings, this is an easy install/upgrade. If you have a 2.5-3” Tower and your shanks have a barb, you’ll want to warm the end of the line in some hot water and flare the end to get it to easily slip onto the barb. (I used a metal ballpoint pen). I think for most applications the 5.5ft of line will be perfect. (I may knock of a half foot to help speed up pours) You will notice a new and improved taste to the beer when you switch to these lines!

5 of 5 Nice draft system tubing November 8, 2019

I replaced all the beer and gas PVC tubing with the 4mm and replaced all my barb fittings with the push to fit fittings.  Tubing and push to fits are very easy to work with.  I'm running 7' lines and get great pour at 12-14 PSI in 39F keezer.  Am convinced the barrier is protecting from oxygen as the first ounce of the first pour of the day tastes just as good as the next.
