Description

The ITC-310 is similar to the slightly cheaper ITC-308 that we sell but this unit adds a programmable temperature profile over a programmable time period. Why do you want this? Fermentation is a complex process. Of course fermenting at fixed and stable temperature is a bare minimum for high quality results, but there are reasons to change temperatures deliberately. One example is staggered ramping up for Saison ferments. There's also diacytel rests in lager fermentations, cold crashing, and some people prefer a few degrees of rise on ales towards the end of fermentation to ensure a dry finish.

You'll need a refrigerator that will fit your desired fermenter and if you want to make use of the heating function, you'll need a heat source that can either add heat to the inside of the refrigerator's airspace or directly to the fermenter like our fermwrap. The temperature probe that is part of this controller can either be secured to the outside of your fermenter or slid into any of our thermowells. You may also be interested in our heat wrap.

The probe diameter included with the controller is approximately .2" or 5mm (and 2" long) which will fit into either our small or large tube thermowells. It fits the smaller tube with a precise fit so that would be preferable in a horizontal install. If you install the thermowell through the lid of a fermenter, the large tube version will be fine as long as you bottom out the sensor in the end of the thermowell.

NEW! This updated version (ITC-308plus) now has a disconnectable plug on the temperature probe such that you can change out the probe for one with an integrated 12" long capsule. See accessories.

ITC-310T temperature controller is dual-relay, programmable outlet thermostat, which can auto-execute to control 6 periods times with different temperatures based on its timer function.
The ITC-310T is mainly used to control temperature during fermentation process of beer and wine brewing, also widely used in home brewing, aquarium, pet breeding, hatching, barbecue, boiler temperature control, geothermal temperature control, heating pump constant temperature cycle, strain culture fermentation, seed sprouting, electric heating, electric oven, over-temperature protection and automatic temperature control system of all kinds of electrical equipment, etc.

5 of 5 Fermentation Chamber July 20, 2017

Tired of shoveling ice into my cooler to keep my conical cool (especially in the summer) I invested in the Inkbird ITC310. I paired it with an upright freezer and I have to say its working well! I can keep the freezer power level at 50% and together with my FTSS and conical inside the Inkbird is keeping my fermentation temperatures within 1 degree F. I can't wait to see the difference that tightly controlled fermentation can make on my beer!

You will pay double for less (nonprogrammable) at the "big box" homebrew sites.
