Description   This is a style accurate American Stout. You can read about the American Stout style profile here: https://www.bjcp.org/style/2015/20/20B/american-stout/ American stout is a rather bold and roasty beer with an equally firm hop bitterness. It has more drinkability than an imperial stout and less hop character than a Black IPA. The finish is moderately dry and bitter but without excessive astringency. This beer will do well with either White Labs WLP001 or Omega OYL-004 built up in a 1 liter starter (or two packs if you don't want to use a starter) or two packs of US-05 dry yeast (select these as accessories in the accessory list). If you plan to bottle condition, be sure you have 4-5 ounces of priming sugar. You can purchase that as an accessory as well.
