There are still only a handful of 240v brewing controllers on the market and Spike has finally joined in. As a very active retailer in the electric brewing space, we've been keeping our eyes on all the different features on offer across all the vendors and we certainly have our opinions. The vision for the Spike controller was clear, to make operation as simple as possible. It has a mash temperature mode where you rotate the dial to the target temperature and it holds it here. Switch to boil mode and turn the dial to set the boil intensity. That's pretty much it. There are no timers, no programs to run, no wifi or blutooth connectivity, no apps. If simple is for you, stop looking and buy this.

Note that this unit does NOT come with a temperature probe. We are offering compatible Auber brand temperature probes to go with this unit (compatible with the controller and the included probe cable). You may also want to pick up a 3ft long L6-30 extension cord to go between the controller and your element as the built in dongle is only about 7 inches long.
