This fitting allows you to very cleanly add a 1/2" male camlock onto the end of a piece of 1/2" OD copper or stainless tubing. The fitting is bored all the way through with 1/2" so it will slide all the way over a piece of 1/2" tubing. You can silver solder it in place.
This is a fantastic way to convert a section of hard piped plumbing to a camlock enable hose connection or to create custom carboy fillers, racking canes, whirlpool arms etc. How about converting your immersion chiller in/out ports to camlock for each quick disconnect?

This item is for the camlock fitting itself. We also offer this fitting combined with a labor charge for TIG welding it to a piece of tubing of your choosing. See elsewhere on the site. The photo is showing what the fitting looks like attached to two different sizes of tubing.

If you plan to solder these, please keep in mind that stainless steel requires a special flux and regular paste flux that you use on copper will not work. We sell an inexpensive kit that contains the correct flux.
