3" Triclover (TC) Spool. A spool is a pipe that has a standard flare on each end. These are also called TC extensions. This one measures 1.5" from flange to flange. The 3" TC flange actually measures 3-5/8" outside diameter.

This would be an acceptable fitting to silver solder to a flat surface. Unlike a weld ferrule, this spool will provide adequate surface contact for good solder adhesion.
