The most popular use of this fitting is to remove your shutoff valve on the output side of your CO2 regulator and replace it with the Wye. Then you can install the valve, and also a second shutoff valve to supply gas to two kegs or a keg and a beer gun. This is the cheapest and most compact way of splitting your gas line while also having independent shutoff functionality.
