NOTE: We rarely stock more than a single lid in each size. If SPIKE has been out of stock on any particular lid for more than a couple days, it is VERY likely that we do not have one and your order will be drop shipped when spike's stock returns.

BrewHardware sells our own steam condensing system (not a replacement lid design) but we also strive to offer Spike's full line of products so we present the Spike product as an option. Here's what Spike has to say about their system (not our words):

We are constantly asked how the BrewHardware Steam Slayer(tm) product differs from the Spike Condenser Lid product. In a nutshell:

Steam Slayer is designed for city or well water pressure (40-80psi) rather than a submersible pump.
Steam Slayer is generally less expensive because it requires a TC port to be added to your existing kettle lid or directly into the sidewall of your kettle.
Hop additions with the Steam Slayer require tipping open your kettle lid as there is no dedicated port for it.
